Album Review: The Product by MSHAA – A Gritty Polish Industrial Gem Alright, let’s talk about The Product by MSHAA. Released back in 2013, this self-released album outta Poland is a wild mashup of Rock and Electronic vibes with a heavy dose of Industrial grit. If you’re into music that feels like it was recorded in some abandoned factory at 3 AM, then buckle up—this one’s for you. First off, the tracklist hits hard right from the start. Tracks like “Apeiron” and “Suck My Gun” are burned into my brain after just a couple listens. Let me break it down for ya: - “Apeiron”: This one kicks things off with this brooding, almost hypnotic beat. It’s got this raw energy to it, like the kind of song that makes you wanna pace around your room while staring into the void. The mix of distorted synths and crunchy guitar riffs? Chef’s kiss. You can tell MSHAA wasn’t messing around when they put this together—it’s chaotic but still has this weird sense of control. Like, yeah, we’re losing our minds, but we’re doing it on purpose. - “Suck My Gun”: Okay, so this track? Absolute banger. It’s aggressive as hell, with these pounding drums and vocals that sound like they were spat out through clenched teeth. There’s something about the way the melody twists and turns—it keeps you guessing the whole time. I mean, how do you even come up with a title like that? It’s bold, unapologetic, and kinda hilarious if you think about it too much. But hey, it works. Other standout moments include “Zeitgeist,” which brings some serious dystopian vibes, and “Idź Do Diabła,” where the Polish lyrics add an extra layer of intensity (even if you don’t speak the language). Oh, and let’s not forget “Anhedonia”—that one’s a slow burn that creeps up on you until you realize you’ve been zoning out for five minutes straight. What’s cool about The Product is how unpolished it feels. It’s not trying to be perfect or shiny; instead, it leans into its rough edges. That DIY vibe fits the industrial genre perfectly, and since it’s self-released under Not On Label, you know this is pure, unfiltered MSHAA. No corporate nonsense here. Reflecting on this album, it’s kinda crazy how well it holds up nearly a decade later. Listening to it now feels like stepping into a time capsule of early 2010s underground music scenes—but better, because it’s got its own unique flavor. Honestly, I didn’t expect to get so hooked on a random Polish project, but here we are. So yeah, give The Product a spin if you’re looking for something dark, edgy, and a little bit unhinged. Just don’t blame me if you end up spiraling into an existential crisis halfway through.
