Đornata - Disorder

Review by Ken Nickerson

Disorder by Đornata: A Raw, Gritty Punch to the Gut If you’re into music that feels like it was born in a dimly lit basement with sweat dripping off the walls, Disorder by Đornata is your jam. Released back in 2017 on Angry Voice Records (yeah, the label name says it all), this German crust-punk-hardcore beast doesn’t mess around. It’s raw, unfiltered, and hits harder than a drunk bouncer at an underground show. First off, let’s talk about "Stayin’ Here." Man, this track sticks to your brain like gum under a barstool. The opening riff grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go. Dan Zmatransn’s vocals are equal parts snarl and desperation—like he’s screaming from somewhere deep inside his soul. You can feel the frustration bleeding through every word. And when the drums kick in? Holy crap, Kwpa and Poda don’t just play; they demolisheverything in their path. This one stays with you because it’s not just noise—it’s emotion bottled up and exploded. Then there’s “Rupa.” Oh man, this song is chaos wrapped in fury wrapped in some kind of twisted poetry. Lisko’s guitar work here is pure fire—sharp, jagged, and relentless. It’s the kind of track where you can almost picture the mosh pit forming as soon as the first note drops. By the time it ends, you’re left breathless, wondering what just hit you. If “Stayin’ Here” is a punch to the gut, then “Rupa” is a full-on beatdown—but one you kinda enjoy. The whole album has this DIY vibe that makes it feel real. Like, yeah, Stiv killed it with the artwork too—dark, gritty, and perfectly matching the sound. And props to Dan for pulling double duty on bass and vocals like a total badass. These guys didn’t make something polished or shiny—they made something alive. Honestly, listening to Disorder feels like being thrown into a storm. It’s messy, loud, and uncomfortable—but isn’t that the point? Music like this reminds you that life ain’t always pretty, and sometimes you need to embrace the chaos. Here’s the kicker though—after blasting these tracks on repeat, I started thinking: if aliens ever invaded Earth and asked us to explain human emotions, I’d hand them this album. No words needed. Just press play.
