- About Me: I learned from an early age that if you wanted something you had to work hard for it, so that’s what I did. At the ripe old age of 7 I saw a advertisement in the back of a comic book to sell Christmas cards in July door to door! I went for it and learned the skill of NOT Fearing. I went door to door selling those cards and sell them I did. People were receptive and kind and I learned not to fear the rejection because there was a positive always around the next door. The experience taught me confidence and to not fear what people would say. The most they could say was “no” and it was there choice to do so. One day I knocked on a door and this big burly man answered, I went into the presentation about the cards and he responded by saying “Spunky little turd you are” I replied Yes Sir! We talked a few minutes about the cards’ and made small talk then out of the blue he asked me if I wanted to be a paper boy, I said heck yes!! He offered to give me 10 customers to start but one problem I had to be 10 years old! I became 10 real fast one never looked back. After a few months I built my route up to 30 customers and over the next few years took it to the largest route in the district with over 165 customers and hired my older brother to help me deliver the papers. I kept the route till we moved and I had to give the route up, but I never lost the skills I learned and the burning desire to work for myself!! Only at few points in my life have I not worked for myself,in high school I worked in a grocery store, USMC after high school (Viet Nam Vet), after college had an opportunity to work in the entertainment industry, then after that I owned a construction company for the next 35 years that was very successful and rewarding.
In the next phase of my life it became a character building experience after a catastrophic illness that my wife experienced and she passed away and I sold my business to pay expenses that had piled up. At this point my world was turned upside down and all had changed! I thought I could get a JOB anywhere!! With my skill set everyone would want me, Right!! Wrong!! at 56 years young no one seemed to want me anymore! By the Grace of God 4 years later I had recovered and needing to find my spirit again thru my faith in God and trust in my abilities I launched myself back into the world of sales ans marketing. I've have found a new love and partner in life and married on Oct. 16, 2010. So please understand that I’m passionate and committed to help others thru my dedication to success and my unyielding belief in others and there goodness.
