- About Me: My name is Catherine and I am interested in taking this class because I am extremely interested in learning more about social movements. Furthermore, I am particularly interested in learning more about social movements that pertain to women’s rights because I am currently studying women’s leadership as an Athena Scholar at Barnard College. In addition, I am interested in learning more about women’s rights movements because I am currently an active member of a charity called “Be-A-Part,” which works in part with the women’s rights movement by working to combat gender-based human rights issues around the globe.
