Bent Self's highly anticipated second album, "7th Riot on Opal Skies" will debut on May 25, 2012, under his own independent label, Blind Alien Records. This album focuses on Bent Self's perseverance over the last two years to remain a true, DIY artist. The dark undertones and hypnotic ambiance of this album appeal to a wide audience, dragging you through a whirlwind of emotion that only Bent Self can express. The first single, "Liquid Concrete" was inspired by renowned skate boarder Trey Wood, featured within the music video. A variety of guest musicians will also be represented on multiple tracks.
Dustyn Marsing has been in the local and semi national music scene since 2001. As the vocalist for Arvins Garden, his aggressive vocals, relatable lyrics, and commanding stage presence lent to the wide popularity of this nu-metal band. With the release of his debut album "Double Edge Sword cut#1," May 2010, Bent Self began promoting with a vengeance, playing with a variety of national alternative, metal, and hip hop acts. An album appealing to an abstract mix of genres, from the innovative musicality found in single "Loves Dry" to the aggressive poetic lyricism of "Save Yourself."
This includes several well received collaboration projects, including Miss Krystle, a classically trained pop-industrial artist. Their latest performance featured on the popular AZTV morning show, "The Morning Scramble." Bent Self continues his journey as a grass roots artist, independently tackling it all, from creative aspects like writing, producing, and multimedia design to management.
