- About Me: Born in Philadelphia, PA., USA, DCee (Real name: David Byard) had a passion for music since playing the drums at age 5. While in high school, DCee had a knack for blending his love for technology and his passion for music. As a former student intern of the Music Production program at Lil' Drummaboy Recordings in Philadelphia, Pa., DCee learned about the techniques of mixing, EQ and improving upon his beat-making skills. He furthered his studies by taking a minor in Music Technology in Community College of Philadelphia and private lessons at Gibson School of Music and Arts in Philadelphia.
DCee has previously worked as a ghost producer for Sound Found Music Group, Chain of Music Entertainment, Murder Inc. (under Demi-Doc) and has worked on various compilations and scores for independent artists and companies.
DCee is now building his own company, DCeeMusik Productions, and has released two projects, “Return of DCEE Boom Bap” EP (Bandcamp) , the “Unapologetic” mixtape (DatPiff, SoundCloud, and HNHH) and the upcoming instrumental album, “Sound Royalty”.
