- About Me: I am a Work At Home mom of 4. I always dreamed of motherhood, marriage and driving a mini van. Wooooooo whoooo for me, life long dream achieved. Yeaaaaa me.
What I never expected, was for my husband to have the most whacked out nut job in the world for a mother, for 2 of my 4 kids to have diagnosed special needs, for the baby to have all the signs of having similar special needs and for my ONE average child to be super duper POed that she lives in a mad house.
Did I mention the husband is in the process of being diagnosed with something along the lines of Aspergers Syndrome or Sensory Integration Disorder, on top of the ADD we already knew about. Plus he's stuck working in another STATE just to continue to support us.
So here I am, married to my soul mate, have the 4 kids I always dreamed of (Ok I dreamed of 10, but 4 seems to be plenty lol), and the minivan, yet, I am a single mom of sorts. Instead of spending my days attending library story time, play dates and evening soccer games. I spend my days averting tantrums-in 7 and 9 yr olds, hearing my 4 yr old tell me how much she hates her brothers, this house, me and the whole danged world and trying to convince my 2 yr old that no, penny's, bobbins and legos are NOT edible and NO snaps can not live inside your nose. All this in between weekly therapist appointments, med checks, taxing the 3 older kids to and from school-2 different schools, and whatever else seems to come up.
Did I mention I work from home. I run my own business, online, I craft cloth diapers, childrens clothing and whatever else my creativity leads me to. Cloth diapers are my main business.
We see my husband about once a month, twice if lucky. He fly's home as often as he can.
This is my life, I feel blessed and punked, all at once.
