- About Me: Hello, my name is Liam Crockford! I am a communications student at Mount Royal University. I was born and raised in Toronto. I moved to Calgary, Alta. on September 9th, 2015. Since moving here a few years ago, I have had the privilege of attending MRU’s public relations program. As a mature student, I wanted to create a place where I could map my journey through the program and pass on some useful information to current (or prospective) students. Throughout my site, you will get to know some more about myself and learn about my experiences from before and during my time in the program. Secondly, you will be able to see examples of my own creative work and some tips for those within the public relations program at MRU, or for my fellow communications students who are looking for examples. For those of you who are a communications student at MRU or elsewhere, there are tips based off my first-year and second-year experiences as a student for writing effectively and some things to consider in your first two years of the program. I hope that through my journey at MRU and past experiences, you will find some valuable information to help you communicate effectively or decide to begin your journey in the field of communications.
