- About Me: Lily-Pearl Schappe-Youens. A mouthful, right? I'm half American and half South African. Spending my first fifteen or so years in Jozi in a beautiful old Cape Dutch style house covered in green ivy. My mom is the American in me. She is the artist in me. The spiritual and soft yin to my dads wild and boisterous South African yang that I am comprised of.
I found my passion for writing as a creative outlet at a young age where I took to writing to express myself whilst my mom would paint her feelings onto vast blank canvass. Fast forward a couple of years, from high school in Madison, Wisconsin, USA, prom, parties, running cross-country, doing all the fun american teenage things, and finding my passion for film, here we are. I am twenty-one years old, living in Cape Town, South Africa, having just finished college and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Script Writing. The first year of my life that is all MINE. I want to broaden my knowledge, learn more about myself, get some cool qualifications, and make moola to explore the rest of this beautiful world. This blog will be treated as my diary. (Ok, maybe i'll leave a few things out) My thoughts and feelings, my way of expressing my inside voice to whoever is interested in this transitional and free flying chapter in my book of life.
