Album Review: To France by DJ Mark With A K, Felix Project & Anonymous Present The Highstreet Allstars Alright, buckle up, because we’re diving into To France, a quirky little jumpstyle gem from 2006 that’s equal parts chaotic and catchy. Released under the Digidance label in the Netherlands, this album feels like someone took Mike Oldfield’s classic tune, threw it into a blender with some Dutch electronic vibes, and hit “puree.” The result? A wild ride that’s hard to forget—and even harder to explain to your friends without sounding like you’ve lost your mind. Let’s talk tracks. First up is "To France (Felix Project Mix)." Oh man, this one slaps. It’s got that signature jumpstyle bounce that makes you want to flail around like a malfunctioning robot on a sugar rush. Felix Project really cranked the energy here, layering Mike Oldfield’s haunting vocals over thumping beats and synths so sharp they could cut glass. You’ll find yourself humming along while simultaneously questioning if your brain is okay for enjoying something this… intense. Spoiler: it’s not. But who cares? This track sticks in your head like gum on a hot sidewalk. Then there’s "To France (Extended Mix)," which is basically the same song but stretched out like pizza dough—except instead of getting boring, it somehow gets better. Credit goes to producers Mark Carpentier and Serge Ramaekers for knowing how to milk every second of chaos without losing momentum. There’s just enough breathing room between drops to let you recover before they wallop you again with another wave of euphoric madness. If you’re into dance music that feels like an adrenaline shot straight to the heart, this mix has your name all over it. Now, I won’t lie—the whole thing leans heavily into its source material, but hey, when you’ve got Mike Oldfield’s blessing (and writing credits), why mess with perfection? Sure, some might call it derivative, but honestly, sometimes reinventing the wheel isn’t the goal—it’s about making people lose their minds on the dance floor. And trust me, this album does exactly that. Reflecting on To France, it’s clear this record wasn’t trying to change the world. Instead, it was content being the life of the party—a gloriously unhinged burst of Dutch electronica that refused to take itself too seriously. In a way, it reminds me of those nights where everything feels a little blurry yet totally unforgettable. Like, did this album actually happen, or was it just a fever dream fueled by strobe lights and Red Bull? Either way, I’m glad it exists. Final thought: If aliens ever invade Earth and demand proof of human creativity, just hand them To France. They’ll either be impressed or utterly confused—which, honestly, is the best possible outcome.

Interesting fact about Album

Here’s a fun fact: The album *To France* by DJ Mark With A K, Felix Project, and Anonymous Present The Highstreet Allstars is a bit of a musical puzzle. It blends electronic beats with a Jumpstyle twist, but the real kicker? The track was originally written by Mike Oldfield, the genius behind the epic *Tubular Bells*. Released in 2006 in the Netherlands, this remix project brought together three producers—Jef Martens, Mark Carpentier, and Serge Ramaekers—to create three unique versions of the song. So, it’s like a mashup of old-school brilliance and modern dance floor energy. Pretty cool, right?
