When All Is Said And Done – Napalm Death’s Grindcore Gem You Didn’t Know You Needed Let’s get one thing straight: if you’re looking for chill background music to sip matcha lattes to, When All Is Said And Done by Napalm Death ain’t it. Released in 2015 under their own label (because who needs middlemen when you’re this hardcore?), this Greek-born grindcore beast is here to slap you awake with riffs so sharp they might as well come with a warning label. First off, let’s talk about “Diktat.” This track hits like an angry wasp swarm trapped in your headphones. The drums? Chaos incarnate. The vocals? Like someone gargled nails and spat them into a microphone. But wait—there’s method to the madness. About halfway through, there’s this sneaky little breakdown that makes you go, "Wait, what just happened?" It sticks with you because it’s equal parts ferocious and clever, like finding out your grumpy neighbor secretly bakes killer brownies. Then there’s the title track, “When All Is Said And Done.” If grindcore could write poetry, this would be it—but instead of sonnets, it’s more like punchy haikus screamed at top volume. There’s something oddly satisfying about how the song builds tension only to explode into pure auditory mayhem. Plus, the riff around the two-minute mark? Absolute earworm material. Don’t act surprised when you catch yourself humming it while stuck in traffic. What makes this album stand out isn’t just its raw power—it’s the way Napalm Death manages to balance brutality with moments of weird brilliance. Sure, some tracks blur together after a while, but that’s kinda the point. It’s not supposed to be polite or polished; it’s meant to hit hard and leave bruises on your soul. Here’s the kicker though: listening to When All Is Said And Done feels less like entertainment and more like therapy—for people who need their therapy loud, fast, and slightly unhinged. Who knew Greece had such a knack for churning out gnarly grindcore? So next time life feels too predictable, throw this album on. Just don’t blame me if your cat hides under the couch afterward.

Formed in Birmingham, UK in 1982, by Nik Bullen. Napalm Death were originally one of the bands that defined the UK hardcore thrash/punk sound of the mid-late 1980s, along with bands such as , Doom and . The band has gone through countless line-ups and many former members have gone on to become significant figures in a variety of musical scenes. Although their debut album "Scum" featured members Justin Broadrick (who was also a member of , the band that later became , at the time) and Nik Bullen (later part of ), the first stable line up consisted of Lee Dorrian (vocals), Bill Steer (guitar), Mick Harris (drums) and Shane Embury (bass). By late 1989, Lee Dorrian, whose vocals epitomised the early Napalm Death sound, had left to form another band (doom metal band ) and focus on his label Rise Above. Bill Steer also left to concentrate on his other band, . Dorrian was replaced by former death metal band 's vocalist Barney Greenway, and an American guitarist, Jesse Pintado, was recruited from fellow Earache label-mates . A short time later Mitch Harris from Las Vegas' grindcore outfit joined as second guitarist. Mick Harris left the band in 1991 and has since been involved in a plethora of solo and joint projects/collaborations as , , etc. He was replaced by Danny Herrera, an old friend of Jesse's from Los Angeles. This line-up lasted until 2004, when Jesse Pintado left the band. Currently the band consists of Barney Greenway, Mitch Harris, Shane Embury and Danny Herrera.

Interesting fact about Album

Here’s something cool: The album *When All Is Said And Done* by Napalm Death is a raw punch of grindcore energy. It came out in 2015, but here’s the twist—it was released in Greece, not the UK where the band usually operates. Two tracks, *Diktat* and the title track *When All Is Said And Done*, pack all the chaos and intensity you’d expect from Napalm Death. Oh, and it’s self-released, no fancy label backing it—just pure DIY spirit.
