Just Say When by Nothing More: A Raw Punch to the Ears Alright, let’s cut the crap—Just Say When by Nothing More isn’t your cookie-cutter rock album. Released in 2017 under Better Noise Records (yeah, those UK legends), this thing hits like a freight train with no brakes. It’s raw, it’s gritty, and it doesn’t give a damn what you think. If you’re into polished pop-rock garbage, skip this. But if you want something that kicks you in the teeth and makes you feel alive? Stick around. First up, the title track “Just Say When.” Holy hell, this song is a beast. It starts off slow, almost teasing you, but then BAM—it slams into gear like a pissed-off rhino on steroids. The vocals are insane; they’re not perfect, but that’s the point. You can hear the emotion bleeding through every note. And that chorus? Damn near unforgettable. “Just say when…” feels like a battle cry for anyone who’s ever been stuck between giving up or going all-in. It sticks with you because it’s real. No sugarcoating here. Then there’s “Go To War.” This one’s straight fire. From the opening riff, it grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go. The lyrics hit hard—talking about fighting back against everything trying to crush you. It’s aggressive as hell, but in the best way possible. I mean, who hasn’t felt like throwing punches at life sometimes? The breakdowns are chaotic yet tight, like controlled chaos. Honestly, this track feels like an anthem for anyone sick of being pushed around. Every time I hear it, I wanna smash something—or maybe just scream into the void. What makes Just Say When stand out is its refusal to play it safe. Nothing More doesn’t care about fitting into some mold—they’re out here carving their own path. Sure, some parts might sound rough around the edges, but that’s exactly why it works. It’s human. It’s messy. And honestly? That’s kinda beautiful. So yeah, this album ain’t for everyone. But if you’re looking for music that fights back instead of rolling over, check it out. Just don’t blame me if it ruins mellow playlists forever. Oh, and one last thing—rock albums like this remind me why people still bother with guitars instead of just making beats on laptops. Weird world we live in, huh?
