About Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin formed out of the ashes of The Yardbirds. had joined the band in its final days, playing a pivotal role on the group's final album, 1967's , which also featured string arrangements from . During 1967, the Yardbirds were fairly inactive. Whilst the band members decided the group's future, Page returned to session work in 1967. In the spring of 1968, he played on Jones' arrangement of 's "Hurdy Gurdy Man." During the sessions, Jones requested to be part of any future project Page would develop. Page would have to assemble a band sooner than he had planned. In the summer of 1968, the Yardbirds' and left, leaving Page and bassist with the rights to the name, as well as the obligation of fulfilling an upcoming fall tour. Page set out to find a replacement vocalist and drummer. Initially, he wanted to enlist singer Terry Reid and Procol Harum's drummer B.J. Wilson, but neither musician was able to join the group. Reid suggested that Page contact Robert Plant, who was singing with a band called Hobbstweedle.
Inducted into Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 (Performer).

27:47 "it's one of those things you could never get fed up of singing" :(
As always, if you have any Led Zeppelin recordings, photographs, or footage that you have taken – whether they circulate or not, as upgrades are welcome – please send us a message at [email protected]. :)
Definitely one of their masterpiece performances NA (June) 72 is deserves to be their highest point tour legs in any live concert career
I was at this show (with about 15,000 other people!! haha!) One of my favorite memories of a show. Super memorable, particularly the acoustic set in the middle which I wasn't expecting, but loved. I was 16 at the time.
Just a DEVASTATING live Zep show. One of my ALL TIME favs.
Just your basic Led Zeppelin show....ho hum....fricken blazing!!!Up til this point in their carrier there was no better LIVE band period !
Amazing performance—the mighty Zeppelin firing on all cylinders! One of their best.
You can hear his voice starting to have trouble with the high notes. His last good year was '71.
34:06 sth solo
Nice sound for a 1972 audience recording ?
Would it be possible to provide a link for a FLAC download for this wonderful concert? Thank you for making all of these recordings available!
God Bless Artie for his powers of blending in so well and he kept his treasure too...myself I love ❤ the audience chatter. Dazed was ???? the standout here( incredible performance) and I really adored Thats The Way & always Tangerine ? ❤ ?.... Berty was charming & really had a great connection with the audience, his vocals were outstanding. I think he's wearing his Elvis shirt...Definitely a must listen! ? so many thanks ?Mr. Bootlegger, gratitude to the person who sent it in. ELECTRIC ????Kris IL ??????⚡??????
Many thanks Boots! There's just something about Zeppelin live I can never tire of, neither can any Zeppelin fan for that matter, they always deliver the goods as does this channel?
i kept telling arties friends to stop talking but the woudnt listen!
Wow what a great show! Jimmy sounds incredible and the audio quality really isnt too bad. Thanks boots ;)
Thanks, Boots! One of their best gigs. ?✌️❤️
Legend. Thanks.
FUCKNG AWESOME! THANKS SO MUCH FOR BRINGING MY OUT OF MY STATE OF DEPRESSION.....
As many have stated the background and circumstances of the recordings are always very interesting! Thanks to Artie * STAFF * and his crew of pals......@8:58 "Artie where are ya?...Artie???" How did he escape his adventure with his teeth intact? On stage, with a tape on him?...must have been venue security not Zep handlers.....
Sounds like it was recorded on a early Panasonic cassette tape
Thanks for posting. What a crazy SIBLY!
Enjoyed the tapers story, enjoying Zeppelin is a given! Appreciate all your hard work, Mr. Boots!! ?? Rock Solid as usual ??
Probably Zep's live peak. US Tour 1972. 50 yrs ago. I hope Jimmy has more multitracks from this tour. However, the LA and Long Beach shows that made up HTWWW is probably all there is. Shame as this is rock music at its best. Thx for the upload!!
One more comment - towards the end of "stairway" in this audience recording someone keeps repeating "The best!". Of course, I agree. However, it reminded me of an experience I had at the October 21, 1995 Page & Plant show in Hartford, CT. I had second row Greenpeace tickets and in the first row, right in front of me, was a guy who kept turning his back to Jimmy and, facing the audience, shouted repeatedly at the top of his lungs, "The best!" Of course, this guy was a royal pain in the a&&. Low probability, I know, but I love the idea that these two guys might be the same!
