Asim picked up his first guitar when he was 17 years old, and used his quick ability to play by ear to put his own folk-rock style into some of his favourite pop radio songs. While performing acoustic covers of everything from 80’s classics to current Top 40 hip-hop tunes, Asim started developing his own song writing skills with a focus on unforgettable melodies, distinct rhythms and honest lyrics. Although Asim is currently working on releasing his first solo album, he continues to perform a variety of originals and covers for audiences in and around his hometown. Just in the past year, Asim has played over 50 shows at both local music venues and on behalf of numerous charitable organizations with his warm stage presence, and diverse solo acoustic sets.
