  • About Me: Running has been part of my life ever since my teens, when spending time outdoors with other teens was what we truly enjoyed doing. Later on, as I entered the workforce and started traveling quite a bit in the beginning and most of the time later on, running was the exercise I could practice in any part of the world. It has been and still is a great satisfaction to discover new places, mostly cities, running in the morning. Signing up for races became part of my running routine, I started running 10Ks to get a feel for excitement of being part of a crowd of runners, share runner stories with other runners. That's what runners do! Eventually I ended up running a good number of 100Ks with the same great excitement of running with other ultramarathoners (those who run distances greater than a Marathon), long distance races are a different story especially toward the end. After decades of running I consider myself a Running Dude, with growing age, I try as much as can to enjoy running to fight off the results of changing life behaviors. A few days ago I came back from yet another business trip, and the next morning went to Gym for my usual run, it is when it happened. The day was Aug 28th, 2019, when I stepped on the weight machine after my run, the digits came up showing: 194 pounds !! Changing life habits have consequences, in my case I estimate them to be in the region of 30 pounds, for the visible part. Even though I had seen it coming for months, that day was the wakeup call. So as a Running Dude the best thing I know to get back in shape and burn off calories is to set running goals, solid goals. After the wake up call I signed up for a Marathon in 3 months, and my first 100 miller in May
