- About Me: Centre for Legal Rights Education, Advocacy and Development – CLREAD is a non partisan, non profit making, nongovernmental organization registered under section 10 of the NGO Act of 1990 - laws of Kenya. The idea of CLREAD was envisaged in the year 2005; and it has developed to a consultancy, community outreach and networking institution of paralegals.
CLREAD was initiated with an aim to provide capacity building and facilitation of team work for paralegals and Human rights Activists trained by different organizations and are willing to assist poor community members suffering human rights violation but lack proper information and guidance on how they can access justice.
The visibility of CLREAD has been successful through collaboration with likeminded Non Governmental Organizations [NGOs] targeting indigenous community members in Kenya with different projects responding to human rights, gender, access to justice and democratic governance.
