  • About Me: Anita Clarke is the editor and founder of fashion blog “I Want I Got.” One of the first and most prominent online fashion writers in Toronto, Clarke has brought her direct, no-bs perspective since 2005. Clarke was drawn to fashion for its ability to reflect an individual’s nature and spent the days of her youth (a self-described “tomboy”) watching Fashion Television. Clarke wrote for BlogTO, one of Canada’s largest city blogs, from 2006 to 2009 and has also been published in Variety Magazine and on the web at Gloss Magazine and Chick Advisor. In addition, she has been mentioned in Canadian Press, Fashion Magazine, Flare Magazine, Masthead, Metro, 24hours, National Post, Eye Weekly, Now Magazine, The Toronto Star, and The Globe and Mail. Clarke's reach has made it to China with features in the China Textile News Weekly Magazine and the Ming Pao Daily News. She was named a Toronto Mille Femmes in 2008 and was honoured to have two dresses named after her by fashion designers Greta Constantine. Now Magazine named Anita a Toronto Fashion Hero in October 2009. In December she was recognized as a 2009 Woman of the Year Honouree by She Takes On the World. She was been named one of the Worthy 30 by Shinan Govani of The National Post. Anita has spoken on the topics of fashion, marketing, pr and social media at PodCamp 2009, FW FashionCamp 2009, Queen’s Business Forum on the Fashion Industry 2009 and 3rd Annual Social Media Marketing 2010. She has been a guest on CBC Radio One's Metro Morning and Vancouver talk radio station CKNW. You can also find her in the occasional editorial, society page or ad campaign. In July 2009, she was featured in a window showcase for Holt Renfrew that was shown in stores across Canada.
