- About Me: I am a Filipino. I am not an alcoholic but I drink alcohol. I have an M.D. degree. In fact, two of them - Doctor of Medicine and Marriage Degree.
When I work, I treat and heal patients. When I go home, I wash the dishes, wash and dry clothes and cook for my wife and kids. My wife was my classmate in medical school and at present she is my roommate. We are blessed with three beautiful and obedient children.
We both finished our medical education at Far Eastern University; Manila, Philippines in the 1980’s and continued our Internal Medicine Residency at Woodhull Hospital, Brooklyn, New York in the ’90’s.
We are both practicing Internists in Southwestern US somewhere between Canada and Mexico.
My wife came to US in 1985 as an immigrant. The following year,
I immigrated to the United States with a tourist visa. I couldn’t work because of such status. Even working under the table would be a difficult task to do. It will give you back aches. Fortunately, my wife ultimately obtained her US Citizenship and petitioned me later. With patience and pity from the Immigration and Naturalization Service (at present, it’s called the Department of Homeland Security), I finally got my green card which gave me the opportunity to work, not just under the table but over, beside the tables and everywhere.
I was raised Catholic but I’m open-minded when it comes to religion. In fact, our kids went to a Lutheran and non-Catholic schools. I believe that religion doesn’t matter much when it comes to worshipping God. You can say the Rosary, the Our Fathers and Hail Mary’s and other devotional prayers, but if you are not sincere in your heart what you are praying for, God knows what is in your heart, mind, and spirit.
I was a very shy, introverted, quiet, and pessimistic person ( I wasn’t a sociopath, though) before I moved to U.S. Since I lived in this prosperous and blessed country, I just became the opposite of all those traits. My wife even say that I’m not just a talkative person but loves to spread gossips.
I firmly believe that God put me on this earth so I can spread His words and Gospel through this book. May this book help you find God’s purpose in your personal life. Pray and seek for it. May God Bless You!
