- About Me: Raised in a small village in southwest.....wait, wait. I am a born and raised Chincoteaguer. I graduated from Chincoteague High School (Go Ponies!) in 1997 and Salisbury University in 2001 with a BA in History. I am a career Firefighter/Paramedic and have been in the business since 1995. My love for public safety work carries into the classroom, where I spend many of my "days off" educating Fire/EMS workers in the present and future! I have three of the most amazing children and there are my rocks! You might ask yourself just why a 41-year old guy goes by KDawg...it actually was a nickname given to me by a set of twins taking one of my classes and it has stuck ever since. And with my quest for humor in any situation, I am perfectly OK with that. I mean, I may have even dressed up in a big brown dog costume for Halloween one time....either way, that's me!
