  • About Me: Michelle E. Alford is a single parent currently living in Michigan with her only child but is originally from the "Show Me State". Alford has been writing poetry since the age of ten. Her writing became present when her college professor, Robert Rockwood, told her she was an eloquent writer. She has freelanced writing for the KY Fulton News, Black Education Network TV and various independent publications. She is currently the host of Living Life Well With Michelle Show on WDRJ 1440 AM - Detroit Radio Station where she is dubbed the community life coach bringing great topics, advice, spiritual guidance, and awesome interviews to the community. She is a positively infused, spiritually uplifting, creative soul with a larger-than-life force of personality; she brings a special brand of compassion to her approach to life. She shares her wisdom, compassion and enthusiasm for life, with all that she meets. Over the years, she has been the “come-to-person” for advice on business, relationships, finances, and mental release. With her many accomplishments and experiences, with life, love, and finances she has experienced successes and setbacks but has managed to possess an unstopping tenacity to always bounce back greater into being the best person she can be. She is an author, poet, writer, speaker, licensed real-estate professional, christian radio on WDRJ 1440 AM - Detroit and an online station 109.9 Pen Station, certified life-coach and she is a certified holistic life coach from the Spencer Institute, she is licensed ordained minister since 2003. She is a person that wants to provide the best service ever for Her clients; therefore, she equips herself with additional education. She is a member of IAC – International Association of Coaching. She has a formal education in Business Management and religious studies. She served as President for two years for the Women Council of Realtors. She has taken several leadership courses in Chicago, Michigan, and Washington DC throughout the years. She has received numerous awards throughout her career path for her ability to excel in all that she does. In 2012 she was nominated for the Small Business Influencer award in the Expert category. Also she has been awarded a Service Award and Outstanding Service Award from the IRS; Realtor Member of the Year from the WCR;“Most Influential Black Woman of the Year” by Wayne County Commissioner nominated by the Women’s Informal Network; The Spirit of Detroit Award; McKinley Rising Star; WCR top State Rep award for Ticket sales. Additionally, Alford received a poetry award for best short poem May 2009, Received 2nd place Poetry award for an original poem; advocating the stand against Child Abuse and Domestic Violence April 2009, awarded Poetic Voice Medallion for original romantic poem October 2009, Nominated Up and Coming Poet By the National Poetry Awards in 2010. Alford has been featured in the Pure Thoughts Magazine April 2010, on CBiz TV 2010, and on the Sistah-2-Sistah platform of, “What is True Success?” She was guest author/speaker with the Drunken Muse 2010; featured writer with Black Education Network; an original poem, “The Fuller Woman” was showcased globally, on the website of an international organization, The International Fuller Woman Network. She has been showcased at other local speaking groups and forums as well. With her many accomplishments, Alford on her own journey in life has not eluded the pains of life circumstances and is no stranger to having to start over. She has always studied everyone and everything that spoke to personal strength, personal growth and empowerment. She then integrated that information with her own experiences and developed a common sense approach for addressing life’s challenges. Her frank, down-to-earth, and inspiring manner is resulted in her implementing her newly designed program the “30-day rewind” a self-improvement program designed to positively change the whole person; mind, body, and spirit. Alford’s approach to life is to teach and not preach; listen-and design; and to guide and not judge. She aims to usher people into a blissful state of being “Happy” This is why she has adapted the acronyms ‘Helping All Push Past Yield” helping them to move beyond whatever has happened in their lives in order to do and be what they want to be in life.” Her insight is that one cannot evolve politically, socially or economically until one evolves spiritually. Her mission is to convey this message with love, respect, humor and humility in all that she does.
