- About Me: Reid Falconer and his wife, Celeste, have lived in St. Tammany Parish since 1984. An architect, planner and builder, Reid is a native of Baton Rouge. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree, a Masters of Science in Finance degree, and a Master of Business Administration degree, all from LSU. Reid is currently a part-time instructor of finance at SLU in Hammond. Celeste, originally from St. Bernard Parish, holds a Master of Social Work degree from LSU and is a retired social worker with the St. Tammany Parish School System. They have two children, both graduates of Mandeville High School. Drew, is a graduate of Tulane Medical School and is currently a Neurology Resident Physician at Georgetown University in Washington D. C.; and Caroline, a junior at SLU in Hammond.
An eighth generation Louisianan, Reid is in his second term of office. He has served as chair of the St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce, board member of the West St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity affiliate, and board member of the Northshore Community Foundation. Additionally, he is immediate past chair of the Louisiana District Council of the Urban Land Institute and a founding member and past chair of the Northshore Business Council. He has also served as president of the Covington Rotary Club and is a current member. He is a graduate of Leadership St. Tammany West, the New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute, and Leadership Louisiana. He is also a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Louisiana Architect's Association and the New Orleans Chapter, AIA. He holds a license to practice architecture and a real estate broker's license.
Reid and Celeste are members of St. Timothy on the Northshore United Methodist Church in Mandeville, where Reid served as the Chair of the recent Capital Campaign. He is a church delegate to the Louisiana Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, where he also serves on the Bishop's Advisory Committee on Katrina Response and the Church Extension Team. He also is a member of the Board of the Methodist Home for Children in New Orleans.
