- About Me: I specialize in project coordination, working in cross-cultural teams, engaging young people and communicating big ideas. I love public-speaking, snowboarding and can cook a mean curry, but unfortunately I have two left feet (much to the disappointment of my sister, a dance teacher).
I've recently completed my Undergraduate studies in Event Management (finishing June 2015), alongside which I've developed my professional expertise through paid work, volunteering and consultancy at a wide range of events - over 150 of them in 4 years!
In that time I've also managed to visit 15+ countries (Canada, China, India, Japan, Zambia, Jordan, United Arab Emirates and a whole lot of Europe) and lived on three continents. My long-term ambition is to eventually build a truly global career. My second greatest professional aim - and it's a close second - is to make a real difference to the lives young people. I am actively involved in a number of student/youth advocacy and volunteering organisations, and an alumnus of several leadership development programs. I am truly passionate about empowering others to have opportunities like those I have been lucky enough to enjoy, and get one step closer to fulfilling their goals.
Over the last few years, I have had the privilege of meeting people from all over the world both in the UK and whilst abroad. I have visited slums and refugee camps, and spent time in a wide variety of schools, colleges and universities. I have seen an incredible amount of potential for the future, and am interested in promoting youth leadership, life-long learning, civic participation, social action, diverse representation, international mobility and cross-cultural understanding.
