The Devil In Miss Jones Original Soundtrack: A Retro Gem That Still Grooves Alright, let’s talk about The Devil In Miss Jones Original Soundtrack. If you’re into jazz with a dash of easy listening or digging soundtracks that feel like they’ve been pulled straight outta the ‘70s, this one might just hit the spot. Released in 1973 by Alden Shuman and co., it’s got that smooth vibe—perfect for sipping coffee while pretending you’re in some smoky lounge from another era. First off, kudos to the composers and arrangers here. Peter DeAngelis and Roy Straigis split duties on this album, and their fingerprints are all over its lush, cinematic soundscape. The whole thing feels like an auditory time machine, but two tracks really stuck with me: “Walk With The Devil” and “I’m Comin’ Home (Theme From ‘The Devil In Miss Jones’).” “Walk With The Devil” kicks things off strong. It’s moody as heck, with these creeping piano lines courtesy of Frank Owens that make your brain go, "Oh yeah, something’s brewing." There’s a tension there—a mix of curiosity and unease—that keeps pulling you back. You can almost picture someone sneaking down a dimly lit hallway, plotting their next move. It’s not overly complicated, but man, does it set the tone. Honestly, if I had to pick a track to loop forever during late-night drives, this would be it. Then there’s “I’m Comin’ Home,” which is basically the emotional anchor of the record. This theme tune wraps up everything the album tries to say in under four minutes. It’s warm, nostalgic, and kinda bittersweet, like saying goodbye to summer but knowing winter has its own charm. The orchestration is simple yet powerful, letting Alden Shuman’s writing shine without getting too flashy. Every time I hear it, I think about endings—not sad ones, though. More like closing chapters and starting fresh. Weird how music can do that, huh? One thing I gotta shout out is the production quality. For something recorded nearly 50 years ago, it still sounds crisp thanks to Joe Brescio’s engineering skills and Peter DeAngelis’ remix magic. Even today, when we’ve got tech coming out of our ears, this album holds up surprisingly well. Now, here’s the kicker: despite being tied to a pretty infamous film (wink), the soundtrack stands alone as legit art. It doesn’t rely on shock value; instead, it leans into mood and melody. And honestly? That’s rare. Most soundtracks either disappear into the background or scream for attention. This one finds the sweet spot in between. So yeah, whether you’re a fan of jazz, soundtracks, or just cool old-school vibes, give The Devil In Miss Jones Original Soundtrack a spin. Just don’t blame me if you start picturing yourself in a vintage noir flick. Oh, and hey—if anyone asks why you’re humming “Walk With The Devil” at random hours, maybe skip mentioning where you heard it first. Trust me on that one.

Interesting fact about Album

Here’s something cool: The soundtrack for *The Devil In Miss Jones* is way more than just background music. Released in 1973, it blends jazz and easy listening with a touch of drama, making it stand out even today. Two arrangers, Peter DeAngelis and Roy Straigis, split the tracks between them, giving the album a unique mix of styles. Fun detail—Peter DeAngelis not only arranged half the tracks but also conducted and remixed them! And get this: the iconic theme song, *I’m Comin’ Home*, became a standout track, tying the whole project together. It’s wild how much effort went into a soundtrack that many might overlook.

I bought this as a kid in a cut-out bin for 49 cents. Really loved it then and still revisit it.

Ladies in Love,,, that is the song on this album. If you have ever had your heart fully embraced with the joy of love, that song is what your hearts sounds like when it is singing. The music reminds me of Italian groups like Perrigio and Picchio del Pozzo. Also reminds me of the French group Air but you know the essence comes from Debussy and Ravel. All of those groups have their roots from those latter mentioned.

Wow, I used to have this album. I remember a girl who was more into me than I her. I played this album and we started kissing and she morphed into the most erotic woman I had ever met. I thought that was possible with the aid of tequila before that moment. True story..

Okay I’m sorry I didn’t believe it when I heard about it but - the DEVIL in Miss JONES, with a song titled HELLCAT? And it played the theaters in Hell’s Kitchen. Bless him and God rest him, but Stan Lee obviously knew his porn.

This is one of the four most recognizable adult xxx movies of all times along with Deep Throat, Behind the Green Door and Debbie Does Dallas. It's also the most artistic in every way from cinematography to acting (Georgina Spelvin). Most original story too. Filmmakers really went out of their way to create a piece of art worthy of respect in a genre where the average porn viewer normally wouldn't care. Such was the Golden Era of Porn. Everyone involved took it seriously like it was a real movie bc it was.

Meanwhile today the average porn is made with an iPhone and some chick who works at Dunkin Donuts and filmed in someone's bedroom or basement on a dingy mattress. No intro, no story, no dialogue, no original soundtrack, if any music at all. Just a blowjob and some doggy/missionary positions, two chicks taking "turns" on each other, or a solo chick masturbating and that's it. And that gets more respect, attention, and clicks than this ever would. No wonder the adult industry is dead.

Eu assisti o ? filme em 1983'. Quando o pornô timidamente chegava as telas de cinema no Brasil e me encantei com sua trilha sonora muito usada em filmes e novelas antigas! Ladies in Love é a minha preferida!

I have seen tons of adult films in my life, But none of them had great music. I think I liked the music more than the film. The song " I'm Comin' Home"  The singer sounds like Olivia Newton John.......Love It
