Deep Blue by Deep Blue: A Chaotic Masterpiece That Hits Hard Alright, let’s cut the crap and dive straight into Deep Blue, an album that's like a sonic cocktail of electronic beats, rock grit, and dancefloor vibes. Released in 2006 across Italy, the UK, and the US under labels like Èviva Records and Irma, this thing is wild—genre-bending madness with styles ranging from trip-hop to Italo House. If you're looking for something predictable, this ain't it. First off, shoutout to Asad Rizvi, who wore more hats on this project than I’ve seen at a royal wedding—he produced, wrote, co-produced, and probably made coffee too. And props to Gioise for arranging and Nico for mixing because damn, this album sounds tight as hell. Now, onto the tracks. There are 15 freaking songs here, but two stand out so hard they’ll stay lodged in your brain like gum on a shoe. Track Breakdown "Deep Blue (Mix 2)" This track? Absolute fire. It’s got this hypnotic groove that just drags you in—like quicksand made of basslines. The synths swirl around like smoke in a packed club, while the beat keeps punching you right in the chest. Every time I hear it, I feel like I’m floating through space but also ready to smash a dancefloor. Weird combo, yeah, but it works. What sticks most is how smooth yet chaotic it feels—the kind of song that makes you wanna close your eyes and lose yourself, but also scream at the top of your lungs. Wild stuff. "Set Me On Fire" Okay, if “Deep Blue” is outer space, then “Set Me On Fire” is pure adrenaline. This one slaps harder than a pissed-off teacher holding a ruler. The vocals hit deep, man—they’re raw, almost desperate, like someone begging to be heard over the chaos. Paired with those pounding drums and glitchy effects, it’s like listening to a heart attack set to music. Honestly, it’s messy as hell, but that’s what makes it unforgettable. You can tell these guys weren’t playing it safe when they put this together. --- So yeah, Deep Blue isn’t perfect. Some tracks blend together, and there’s a lot going on that might make your head spin. But isn’t that kinda the point? It’s loud, unpredictable, and refuses to sit still. Like life itself, ya know? Here’s the kicker though—if you ever wondered what happens when Italian flair meets British grit and American swagger, this album nails it. Oh, and fun fact: Massimo Benini and Umbi Damiani executive-produced AND co-produced. Talk about wearing multiple hats without dropping the ball! Final thought? Listening to Deep Blue feels like getting lost in a labyrinth where every wrong turn leads to gold. Just don’t expect answers or clarity by the end—you’ll leave confused, exhilarated, and craving more. Kinda like life itself. Now go press play before I change my mind. Rating: 8/10 – Not flawless, but unforgettable as hell.
