Album Review: Cyanure by Django (DKZ) Yo, let’s talk about Cyanure, the 2019 Hip Hop gem from Django (DKZ). Straight outta France, this project is raw and unfiltered—like that one playlist you keep on repeat when you're in your feels. Released under Not On Label, it’s got this DIY vibe that makes you feel like you’re listening to something real, y’know? Shoutout to Flem for recording and mixing this bad boy because the sound quality hits just right. Now, I gotta say, the title track “Cyanure” is fire. Like, legit fire. It’s one of those songs where the beat grabs you by the collar and doesn’t let go. The production has this dark, gritty undertone, but Django rides it so smooth with his flow. His delivery feels personal, almost like he’s spilling some deep secrets over the mic. You can tell he ain’t tryna sugarcoat anything here—it’s raw emotion bottled up into three minutes of head-nodding goodness. Every time I hear it, I’m reminded why I fell in love with underground Hip Hop in the first place. Another banger on the album is… well, okay, full disclosure—I only remember bits and pieces of the other tracks. But there’s this one moment near the end of another song (I think it’s called “Noir”? Or maybe not?) where Django drops this line that just sticks with me. Something about life being too short and choices weighing heavy. It’s simple, sure, but man, it hits different late at night when you’re staring at the ceiling thinking about stuff. What I dig most about Cyanure is how authentic it feels. And honestly, that’s rare these days. Plus, hearing an artist from France kill it in French reminds me how dope international Hip Hop can be. We don’t get enough of that over here. So yeah, if you’re into Hip Hop that keeps it 100 without all the bells and whistles, check out Cyanure. Just don’t expect perfection—it’s messy, imperfect, and kinda haunting, which somehow makes it even better. Oh, and fun fact: cyanide is poison, right? After listening to this album, I kinda get why Django named it that. It sneaks up on you and leaves a mark. Wild.

J'ai l'impression que Django met un point d'honneur à faire des clips avec un minimum de moyens. Et pourtant ce sont de vrais réussites en général. Fury, Genèse, Oiseaux, etc Très peu de budget en fin de compte.
