Hellsystem - Back From Darkness

Back From Darkness: Hellsystem’s Gabber Gem That Still Slaps If you’re into the wild, untamed beast that is hardcore electronic music, Back From Darkness by Hellsystem isn’t just an album—it’s a full-on assault to your eardrums in the best way possible. Released in 2004 under Italy’s Hardcore Blasters label, this sucker hits hard with its gabber-heavy vibes and raw energy. It's like someone took all the chaos of a mosh pit, cranked it up to eleven, and slapped a shiny sticker on it saying “Made in Italy.” And let me tell ya, G. Coniglione (the brain behind the madness) wasn’t playing around when crafting this monster. First off, kudos to DJ D for mastering this beast because damn—every kick drum feels like it’s punching you right in the chest. But what really stands out here are two tracks that’ll stick in your head long after the speakers stop blasting: "Shut Up And Die" and "Back From The Darkness (Fase Uno)." “Shut Up And Die” is the kind of track that makes you wanna grab life by the throat and scream, “Bring it on!” The beat drops so hard it’s practically bullying you into submission. You can almost picture Hellsystem cackling maniacally while tweaking knobs in some dimly lit studio. There’s no chill, no mercy—just pure adrenaline-pumping insanity. If gabber had a face, this would be its snarling mugshot. Then there’s “Back From The Darkness (Fase Uno),” which feels like being chased through a neon-lit cyberpunk wasteland. The synths twist and turn like they’ve got minds of their own, pulling you deeper into whatever fever dream Hellsystem cooked up. By the time the second phase rolls around later in the album, you realize this isn’t just one song—it’s a journey. A loud, chaotic, beautiful journey. The rest of the album keeps the momentum going strong too. Tracks like “Brutal Defence” and “Afraid” bring enough grit and groove to keep even the pickiest ravers satisfied. Meanwhile, cuts like “Daylight” throw in moments of eerie calm before dragging you back into the maelstrom. It’s like Hellsystem knows exactly how to mess with your emotions without ever letting you catch your breath. What’s wild about Back From Darkness is how unapologetically raw it feels. This isn’t polished EDM designed for festival main stages; this is underground stuff made for sweaty basements and abandoned warehouses where the bass rattles your bones and the crowd moves as one chaotic organism. Even now, nearly two decades later, it still sounds fresh—or maybe I should say freshly bruised. So yeah, if you’re looking for something soft and soothing, keep scrolling. But if you crave music that bites back, Back From Darkness will leave teeth marks. Honestly, listening to this album feels less like hearing songs and more like surviving them. And hey, who knew surviving could sound so good? Random thought: I bet if aliens landed tomorrow and asked us humans to explain gabber, we’d hand them this album and say, “Here. This is us at our most unhinged.” They’d either love it or vaporize us instantly. Either way, worth a shot, right?

Giorgio Coniglione, known as Hellsystem and the Evil Entity project, was born in Palermo on the 27th november in 1979. Since the early 90s he was attracted to the harder styles of electronic music, and in 1994 he discovered Hardcore. In 1998 he moved to Rome and started to produce some tracks with a simple play-station software (just for fun). In may 2002 he bought his first equipment and finally it was time to produce music. At the end of 2002 Giorgio sent a demo to Hardcore Blasters and the tracks were good enough to be released in his first e.p. Beat Motherfucker. Due to his fast increasing skills, some of Hellsystems productions were included in compilations as Thunderdome, Always Hardcore and Masters of Hardcore. His first big hit was Hustlers and it was getting populair with djs in late 2003 and in 2004 it was time to release his first album called Back from darkness. After getting into the scene as a producer, he practiced a lot as dj, resulting in gigs in many countries like The Netherlands, Spain, Germany and Switzerland. His music style is described as atmospheric, melodic and dark, with a lot of crazy tricks!

Interesting fact about Album

Here’s a cool fact: The album *Back From Darkness* by Hellsystem is a high-energy ride through the hardcore electronic scene of the early 2000s. Released in 2004 in Italy, it’s packed with intense Gabber and Hardcore beats that hit like a freight train. What’s wild is how hands-on Hellsystem was—handling the arrangement, mixing, and even co-writing the tracks. Oh, and DJ D stepped in to master the chaos and remix "Fucking Maniac" into an absolute banger. With tracks like "Shut Up And Die" and "Rocking In Your Face," it’s no surprise this album became a favorite for fans of brutal, fast-paced beats.
