John Fogerty Live In Europe: A Rockin’ Trip Down Memory Lane Alright, let’s talk about John Fogerty Live In Europe. Released in 2001 on the CD-Maximum label (yep, in Russia of all places), this album is basically a love letter to Creedence Clearwater Revival fans and rock lovers alike. It’s not perfect—some tracks feel like they’re just there to fill space—but man, when it hits, it hits. You can tell Fogerty still had that fire in his belly, even decades after CCR broke up. First off, the tracklist reads like a "Best of Fogerty" playlist. You’ve got classics like Proud Mary, Bad Moon Rising, and Fortunate Son—songs you probably heard at some barbecue or road trip at least once in your life. But two tracks stood out for me in particular: Travelin’ Band and Born On The Bayou. Now, Travelin’ Band kicks things off with this raw energy that makes you wanna grab a mic and scream along, even if you sound like a dying cat. The guitar riffs are sharp, the crowd's going nuts, and Fogerty’s voice? Still golden. It’s one of those songs where you don’t care how sweaty you get dancing because everyone around you is losing their minds too. Feels like being back at Woodstock, minus the mud and questionable food choices. Then there’s Born On The Bayou. Oh man, this one gives me goosebumps every time. There’s something about the swampy vibe and Fogerty’s storytelling that pulls you right into Louisiana—or wherever he’s singing about.
