MB - Atomique Mörder

Review by Paul Hadsall

Atomique Mörder: MB’s Industrial Noise Masterpiece That’ll Mess With Your Head Let’s cut to the chase—Maurizio Bianchi (MB for short) has been around the block in the experimental music scene, and Atomique Mörder is another wild ride that screams “Italy, 2019, no chill.” Released under two labels—Not On Label (because of course it’s not) and menstrualrecordings—this album feels like crawling through a glitchy, dystopian fever dream. It’s electronic but harsh, industrial but chaotic, noise but… somehow still musical? Yeah, it’s confusing as hell, but also kinda brilliant. The whole thing's draped in MB’s signature vibe: raw, unfiltered, and slightly unsettling. He did the cover art too, which looks like someone smeared charcoal on paper while listening to static. And guess what? The guy made all the sounds himself. No guest producers, no fancy studio tricks—just Maurizio being Maurizio. Respect. Now, let me tell ya about the tracks I couldn’t shake off. First up, there’s Untitled. Yep, literally untitled. But don’t let the lack of a name fool ya; this thing hits hard. Imagine if an old factory machine got into a fight with a broken synth—it’s clanky, distorted, and relentless. You can almost smell the rust and oil dripping from your speakers. There’s something hypnotic about how it loops back on itself, grinding away at your brain until you’re either mesmerized or mildly annoyed. Honestly, both reactions feel intentional. Then there’s another track—I won’t name it because honestly, who can keep track—but damn, it’s got this low-frequency rumble that feels like standing too close to a jet engine. It builds and builds, layering screeches and hisses until you’re convinced the apocalypse is happening right outside your window. Like, are these sounds even legal? Feels like they shouldn’t be. What sticks with me most isn’t just the music itself—it’s how personal it feels. This ain’t some polished pop record trying to please everyone. It’s messy, abrasive, and deeply human in its own weird way. Listening to Atomique Mörder is like eavesdropping on someone’s inner monologue during a panic attack. Uncomfortable? Sure. Fascinating? Absolutely. Here’s the kicker though: after spinning this album, I started wondering why we call certain noises “bad” or “unlistenable.” Who gets to decide what’s music and what’s just… sound? Maybe MB’s onto something here. Or maybe he just likes making people squirm. Either way, hats off to him. Final thought: If Atomique Mörder were a person, it’d probably be banned from most public spaces. But hey, sometimes the best art is the kind that makes you wanna run for the hills.

Interesting fact about Album

Did you know? The album *Atomique Mörder* by Maurizio Bianchi is a one-man masterpiece. Released in 2019, it’s a gritty blend of Noise and Industrial sounds, all crafted in Italy. Every track, including the mysterious "Untitled," was created by M.B. himself—sounds, cover art, everything. It’s raw, intense, and feels like peeking into his own sonic universe. Not tied to any major label, he stayed independent with *Not On Label* and *menstrualrecordings*. A true DIY gem in the electronic scene.
