About Normie Rowe
Normie Rowe, AM (born 1 February 1947, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) is an Australian singer and actor. Between 1965 and 1967 Rowe was Australia's most popular male star but his career was cut short when he was drafted for compulsory military service (called National Service in Australia) in late 1967. His subsequent tour of duty in Vietnam effectively ended his pop career and he was never able to recapture the success in music he enjoyed at his peak, and instead carving out a career in theatre.

Normie was really great - I'd like to see more of the musicians. I remember seeing them at the Albert Hall in Canberra in 1965 - great band!
Great nostalgia indeed, wonderful memories of an era when pop music was exciting and thrilling with top artists like the fabulous Normie Rowe!!! How we miss the swinging 60's but thanks to these golden clips and community radio, we can still enjoy fine tunes from that marvelous decade of music!!!
love it!
Found "Coming Home" several years ago in a paisley-pop collection, but to see his full repertoire in this clip is a real delight.
NORMIE..❤
Total legend best rock was in Australia in 60s
I think is someways that barrel was a very cruel idea, it cemented in some boys minds that they were loosers and not lucky enough to miss the draft and others felt bad because their birthday did not come up. Terrible time in the world's and Australia's history. Hello to all our boys and girls serving overseas at this time.
1967 Normie is saying something about the Vietnam War and being home sick..
This is great! First heard it on Radio Caroline.
Have you got a copy of the flip side or the A side "I don't care"
