Electric Jam by Pino Daniele: A Sonic Love Letter to Life’s Chaos If you’ve ever wondered what happens when Pop meets Funk, Jazz flirts with Rock, and Italian soul spills over Europop beats, then Electric Jam by Pino Daniele is your jam—literally. Released in 2019 (yeah, I know, it feels like forever ago), this album hits like a caffeinated espresso shot on a lazy Sunday morning. It’s got layers, man. Layers of genre-bending goodness that’ll make your playlist feel like it just leveled up. Let me break it down for ya. This isn’t one of those albums where every track blends into the next until you forget which song was playing five minutes ago. No way. Each tune has its own vibe, but two tracks stuck with me like gum under a shoe: "Io Vivo Fra le Nuvole" and "Sesso E Chitarra Electrica." First up, "Io Vivo Fra le Nuvole"—translation: “I Live Among the Clouds.” And oh boy, does it take you there. The opening riff grabs hold of your brain and doesn’t let go. It’s dreamy yet grounded, kinda like floating on a cloud made of cotton candy while still feeling the pull of gravity. Pino’s vocals are smooth as melted butter, sliding between notes like he owns them. By the end of this track, you might find yourself reaching for an air guitar solo whether you meant to or not. Now, don’t get me wrong—the rest of the album ain’t slacking either. Tracks like "Cuore Di Pietra" and "Il Sole Dentro Di Me" bring their own magic to the table. But these two stood out because they felt alive. Not polished-to-perfection alive, but messy, real, human alive. Like catching a live gig in some smoky jazz club where everyone sweats together, laughs together, and leaves lighter somehow. About Pino Daniele

Italian blues, jazz, and pop musician, singer, songwriter and composer. Born in Naples, Italy, March 3, 1955, died January 5, 2015 of a heart attack in his house located in the countryside of Orbetello, Tuscany, Italy. He began his career playing with a band named Batracomiomachia. In 1976, he then started playing as a bassist in where he met who would become a central figure in the production of his first three albums. In the same year , EMI Italiana's producer, listened to a demo tape with Daniele's original songs and decided to produce his music. Within six months his first single was released titled (both songs were included on his first album, which was released in 1977). This was the beginning of an extraordinary career: several albums, world-tours, cinema soundtracks (in particular, movies made by his close friend ), television performances and countless collaborations. Pino Daniele is one of the most famous Italian musicians in the world.
