Album Review: Rush by Roma Valentine Rush, the 2015 release from Dutch producer Roma Valentine, is a solid entry in the Deep House scene. Released under Armada Deep, this album brings that signature Netherlands electronic vibe with a dance floor-ready energy. It’s not trying to reinvent the wheel, but it doesn’t need to. Sometimes, you just want music that feels like a warm hug for your ears while still making your feet move. The standout track, no surprise, is Rush. It’s got this hypnotic groove that sneaks up on you—smooth, layered synths build steadily, and before you know it, you’re lost in the rhythm. The bassline isn’t overbearing; instead, it sits perfectly under those shimmering melodies, giving the track a lush, almost dreamy quality. There’s something about the way the percussion clicks into place that makes it feel both intimate and huge at the same time. You could play this at peak hour in a club or chill at home, and it’d work either way. Then there’s Rush (Original Mix), which offers a slightly rawer take on the title track. If the main version feels polished, this one leans into grittier textures. The kicks hit harder, and the atmospheric pads have an edge to them, like they’re daring you to stay complacent. Honestly? This mix might be my favorite of the two because it feels less filtered, more alive. Like the producer said, “Here’s what I really meant.” It’s worth noting how cohesive the album feels despite its simplicity. Roma Valentine clearly knows their sound and sticks to it without overcomplicating things. That said, some listeners might find the lack of variety a bit repetitive. But hey, if you’re in the mood for deep house vibes, this won’t bother you one bit. Reflecting on Rush, it strikes me how timeless these tracks feel even years after their release. They don’t scream “2015 trends” but rather exist in their own little pocket of cool. And isn’t that what good dance music should do? Take you somewhere else, even if just for a few minutes? Unexpectedly, listening to this album made me crave waffles. Maybe it’s the Dutch connection. Or maybe great beats just pair well with carbs. Who knows?

The drop is really fresh, it is catchy & very melodic. The build-up is a bit boring but I find the whole track very good tbh. This is good to relax, that's sure ! ;)
