I'm Joe.
I am a zookeeper, teacher and whatever else I want to be. I have an impatient mind, and a love for communication.
I grew up on the Norwegian countryside, close to nature, and alongside animals. I always knew I wanted grow up to help my animal friends, but I didn't quite know how. For a while I wanted to become a veterinarian, so studied history... okay, so I diverted from my plan for a while, but no success story has a linear storyline. After a few years with silent (and sometimes loud) contemplation, I might have figured out how I can contribute to the preservation of biodiversity and animal welfare.
By teaching children about the wonders of nature, and creating love and wonder for the unknown, I might be able to help preserve nature through the next generation.
I just finished a chapter in my life by finishing my bachelors in biology, and effectively ending my full time studies (for now). Now I am about to embark on the next adventure. I am moving from the capitol of Norway, Oslo, to the little town of Flå. There I will live with my dutch girlfirend, Wendy, in the zoo(!) where I work.
I will work partly as a zookeeper and as a teacher at the local school. I will also be writing and communicating for an to anyone who cares.
