Kathryn graduated with a BA hons. degree in Fashion & Textiles Design from Liverpool University, later moving to London to study a Masters degree in Fashion design at Saint Martins School of Art & Design.
After graduating Kathryn established a niche in the designer market running a small designer boutique label “The Clothing Clan” with her sister supplying independent designer boutiques both in the UK and abroad which sold alongside well known luxury brands like D&G, Thierry Mugler & Jean Paul Gaultier selling to internationally to world famous Joyce Boutique in Hong Kong.
The label attracted press and PR opportunities including dressing bands for music videos and shows. The collections were featured on national television, including the Clothes Show, Top of the Pops & This morning as well as in national press and fashion magazines like I-D, Harpers & Queens, Don’t Tell It, X-Magazine, Collezioni, Drapers Record, The Observer, The Guardian, Time Out..
Kathryn has also worked in the design room for other well known labels like Vivienne Westwood and successfully run Arts & Crafts stalls in many of London's leading markets.
