- About Me: I am, I suppose, a (gag) hobbyist when it comes to my endeavors of creative expression. That sort of thing... just the word “hobbyist” alone, doesn’t sit right with me. The texture of the word from its phonetics to its literal definition, is just humbling in a way that I imagine few people would ever enjoy. The word lacks even a civilized dash of pretentiousness; it’s completely bare in its celebration of the idea that ‘what you do, if you do it this way, is utterly irrelevant.’ Its this bare naked admission the word bares that makes me feel like it belongs in the same section of the book as the word “molest,” as they are both dealing in the same ugly wax color of the scariest universal truth.
