- About Me: I am a 60 year old mother of 3 boys, and 6 grandchildren. My middle son, Kevin, began using marijuana at around the age of 10 with his father. This was absolutely not known to me. Kevin progressed next to Xanax, then to opiates and on to heroin. I became aware when he was using Xanax and had moved back into my home.
I found him dead at 31 years old from a heroin/fentanyl overdose.
My years with my son, the experiences we both shared, hope, pain, desperation and finally the immense grief is what I want to share in hope it may bring comfort or peace of mind to at least one person. Please know you are not alone.
