My biggest aspiration is to live a life I love being happy and successful at whatever I do.
I am passionate and stubborn its either all or nothing with me. I either fully commit to something and throw myself into it completely or I don’t commit at all. There are no half measures. I love shoes and I hate queuing. At times I underestimate myself, I am more powerful than I actually realise! I don’t stop and think of all the amazing things I have achieved and experienced in my life thus far. I have definitely lived life colourfully and ended up in all kinds of places meeting/knowing all kinds of people.!
I was a bit of a wild child growing up and partied a lot so I don’t feel like I’m missing out if I can’t go out because of training. I feel like I have got it all out of my system but don’t get me wrong.... I still like to go out and have a good time now and then!
I love travelling so took nine months out to travel just before I got fully into boxing and learned a lot about myself and other people. I love, love, love my friends and family they are always there to cheer me on and tell me about myself when I need it!
I am not particularly religious but believe in God and have my own relationship with him/her– I know he/she looks out for me and I have a few guardian angels!
Some of my best moments in my life have involved boxing like winning the ABA’s was a great feeling because I was very non committal about the whole thing, entering I had nothing to loose and I came out on top! Again when I won Gold for the European Union Tournament this was an amazing feeling because I was just chuffed to be selected to box against such experienced girls.
Nothing beats the feeling of the bell going at the end of the final round and the ref puts your hand up to declare you the winner. As corny as it sounds all the training and sacrifice is worth it. Then after you have enjoyed your win it’s all over and you are back in the gym working hard for the next bout!
