About Mingle Around:
"Mingle Around was started in 2007 by a young matchmaker, Jill Jackson, bored of the bar scene, over the online dating hype and tired of being asked where there was a great spot to meet other local singles.
She hosted the first event as a way to bring single book lovers together at a local bookstore coffee shop after socializing with the single bookstore patrons on a daily basis. It was an instant success with singles asking for more events both in the city and suburbs. Mingle Around is based in Chicago, with both Chicago and suburban events hosted.
Not only does Mingle Around host speed dating events and singles parties, but there is a focus on the development of the person as a whole. There are organized nights out for just the girls or just the guys and Mingle Around offers makeovers and life coaching events. Mingle Around also participates in local charities, believing that giving back is a great way to show love. Mingle Around stands behind the communities they are located in and hope you do too."
