- About Me: Pur Pale is the representation of a sterile mind "pur" meaning pure and "pale" meaning white (pure white). This should not be confused with identifying a skin color, instead I identify with creation and the exploration of higher consciousness. Pur Pale = Nothing when translated from "Pure White", from "Nothing" we begin to create something.
Everything created within Pur Pale has been created by 28yr old artist Ryan Clark from Langley, British Columbia. Ryan has been an Electro-Rock producer for the past 10 yrs, mastering in synthesis, programming, vocals and engineering being affected by influences such as Brian Eno, Trent Reznor and Depeche Mode to name a few. Graduating from the Vancouver FIlm School for Digital Design in late 2007 Ryan was armed with the tools, knowledge and expertise to begin developing Pur Pale into what it is today, utilizing design strategies to help develop the musical process's and out of the box thinking needed in helping to influence Pur Pale's unique direction. This is what makes Pur Pale so unique, by only having one member within Pur Pale Ryan is able to take 100% of the creative control and really make Pur Pale as personal and creative as he would like to make it.
Now in 2011 Pur Pale is finally ready to branch out and leave it's comfortable solo environment and start to think of new innovative ways in which electronic producers can work together to create diverse music collaborating from anywhere in the world via the internet. By using new collaborative tools within new emerging digital technologies we are not only able to listen and share music but we are also able to collaborate with artists anywhere in the world, opening up a new doorway in which we can create music.
The life of this project and the contents within it are modeled after Ryan's own spiritual guides, experiences and knowledge. The content and stories told within this project are all reflections of events and situations within his own personal "Tree of Life".

As spiritual as this project sounds Ryan's intentions are to present his material within a spiritual process but to also keep the content within itself aimed towards creating something that his fans can relate to in a "real" and "raw" fashion.
Through all the self inflected abuse, lieing, selfishness, violence, suicides, drug abuse and everything that was "The Negative" within his own personal past aggravations of life he has found the truth within all of these topics previous in the 2010 demo release of "As the World Is Falling Apart". Sitting here now in 2011 Pur Pale aims to expand it's musical content by taking outside influences within the new Pur Pale line up and going above what was done within "As The World Is Falling Apart" making the songs less individualistic and aiming towards making them communicate on a more global scale.
Ryan stands by a realization which came to him during a period of an internal war and struggle which helped him to overcome many intense situations in which he encountered still today. Without standing so strongly behind this realization he would not be the man he is today nor would Pur Pale be what it has become. This realization came to Ryan by the words "The Only Way OUT is IN" what this meant to him was that the only way to get out of a bad situation or event is to dive head first into it and battle through it from the beginning to the end, appreciating and focusing all attention within the now.
