  • About Me: Scott Wong Surfahnui Productions CEO/President Scott Wong (Scotty) is a native of Hawaii. Born half Hawaiian and half Chinese and raised in Kaimuki Hawaii. He is the son of Kaipo Cunha and Wallace Wong. Scotty Graduated from the Kamehameha Schools in 1987 and then served in the United States Marine Corps for 10 years as a Reconnaissance Marine. He is a veteran of the Gulf War and is a recipient of many military citations and Awards such as the Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Achievement Medal, Southwest Asia Sea Service Deployment and the Kuwaiti liberation medal to name a few. Since leaving active duty, Scotty has worked as a Film and Stage technician for the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.E.) for nearly 10 years. He worked as a First Aid Medic, Prop Master, Special Effects Diver and Set Dresser for numerous shows such as Godzilla, George of the Jungle, Baywatch Hawaii and Pearl Harbor to name a few. Scotty also served as the Unions Business Agent and lead negotiator for 3 years. During that time Hawaii had enjoyed many Feature films to include 3 simultaneous TV episodics; one of them named “Lost”. Today, Scotty works as a Realtor and mostly as an independent film maker. He is the CEO and President of Surfahnui Productions which is a small local production company that specializes in local documentaries, special events and celebrations. Scotty also is a dedicated volunteer for the ‘Olelo Community Media Corporation in which he has logged in over 1200 hours of volunteerism on over 80 different programs winning him the Volunteer of the Year Award 2011 for Palolo Olelo Media Center. Scotty is certified in all the training that Olelo currently has to offer.
