In Bloodline With The Snake: A Blackened, Heavy Rager That’ll Rattle Your Skull (And Maybe Your Soul) Alright, buckle up, metalheads. We’re diving into In Bloodline With The Snake, the 2010 release from Chaos Invocation—a band that somehow managed to straddle two continents (Germany and the US) like some sort of heavy metal colossus. Released under W.T.C. Productions and Canonical Hours, this album is a gnarly blend of Heavy Metal and Black Metal styles, with enough venomous riffs and throat-shredding screams to make Satan himself nod approvingly. First things first: let’s talk about the chaos behind the creation. You’ve got “A.” doing guitars, bass, backing vocals, AND writing lyrics—this guy’s basically carrying the whole operation on his shoulders like a demonic Atlas. Meanwhile, M.’s vocals sound like they were recorded in the depths of a cursed crypt, which is exactly what you want here. And props to C. Drager for the artwork, because honestly, if it didn’t look like something you’d find in a medieval grimoire, would it even count as black metal? Now, onto the tracks. There are repeats in the tracklist (Channel To Mysteries, Trident Of Illumination, etc.), but hey, repetition can be hypnotic—or maybe someone just hit copy-paste one too many times. Either way, I’m not mad about it. The standout for me has gotta be “Unlock the Abyss.” This tune hits like a freight train driven by demons. It opens with a riff so sharp it could cut glass, then barrels forward with blast beats courtesy of A.D. that feel like they’re punching holes through your eardrums—in the best possible way. By the time M.’s unholy shrieks kick in, you’re already sold. What sticks with me most isn’t just how brutal it is, though—it’s the eerie atmosphere. Halfway through, there’s this haunting pause where everything drops out except for a single, mournful note. For a second, you think it’s over… then BOOM, back comes the fury. Pure evil genius. Another banger worth mentioning is “To Harvest The Madness Of Satan.” Yeah, yeah, the title sounds like an edgy teenager’s poetry journal, but don’t judge a book by its Satanic cover. This track feels like a ritual gone wrong—chaotic, relentless, and utterly intoxicating. The interplay between the guitar and bass creates this crawling, sinister vibe, while the drumming punches harder than a possessed boxer. Plus, the chorus (if you can call it that) will get stuck in your head for days, whether you like it or not. Not gonna lie, I caught myself muttering “Madness… OF SATAN!” while making coffee this morning. Awkward. So yeah, In Bloodline With The Snake delivers exactly what you’d expect—and more—from a project born out of transatlantic darkness. It’s raw, unpolished, and dripping with malice, like a cursed artifact unearthed from some forgotten tomb. But here’s the kicker: despite all the aggression and occult vibes, there’s a weird beauty to it. Like staring at a stormy sky—you know it’s dangerous, but damn, it’s mesmerizing. Final thought? If you listen to this album backwards, people say you’ll hear messages from Hell. Forward, though? You might just hear greatness. Or possibly instructions on summoning eldritch horrors. Who knows? Turn it up loud enough, and maybe you won’t care anymore.

Interesting fact about Album

Here’s something cool: The album *In Bloodline With The Snake* by Chaos Invocation is like a musical bridge between Germany and the US. Released in 2010, it blends heavy and black metal with intense tracks like "Unlock the Abyss" and "Psalms of Fornication." One person, credited simply as "A.," handled guitars, bass, backing vocals, and even wrote the lyrics—talk about wearing multiple hats! The band managed to pack the album with raw energy, dark themes, and intricate details, all while keeping their lineup tight-knit. Oh, and fun fact: some track titles are repeated but styled differently, almost like they're teasing you to pay closer attention. Metal fans still dig this one for its unapologetic grit.

Germany's Chaos Invocation are a clone of Darkthrone, Watain and Mayhem, as shown by their 2009 debut, In Bloodline with the Snake.
