Cityline90 - Air Jihad

Air Jihad by Cityline90: A Neon-Drenched Assault on Your Senses Alright, buckle up. Air Jihad by Cityline90 isn’t your average synth-pop snoozefest or techno-for-the-sake-of-it garbage. Released in 2009 outta Japan under their own label (big flex), this album hits like a cyberpunk fever dream laced with adrenaline and broken neon lights. It’s raw, unapologetic, and kinda feels like someone hacked into your brain and rewrote the soundtrack to your life. Let’s get real for a second—this thing slaps hard. Tracks like “Love Untitled Soldier” and “Subversive Awareness” stick with you long after the playlist ends. “Love Untitled Soldier”? Damn near cinematic. The track opens with these glitchy synths that feel like they’re crawling outta some digital wasteland, then BOOM—it explodes into this pulsing beat that grabs you by the throat. You can’t help but imagine rolling through a rain-soaked cityscape while lasers flash overhead. It’s not just music; it’s an experience. Like, I don’t even care if that sounds cheesy—it’s true. Then there’s “Subversive Awareness,” which is basically the audio equivalent of sticking it to the man. This one’s darker, grittier, more industrial. The bassline thumps so hard it might as well be a heartbeat, and those eerie vocal samples? Chef’s kiss. Feels like paranoia wrapped in steel cables. Every time I hear it, I’m reminded why rebellion sounds better when backed by pounding drums and distorted synths. The rest of the album ain’t no filler either. “Rampish Chase” brings speed-demon energy, perfect for late-night drives where you pretend you’re outrunning something—or someone. And holy crap, “飛翔” (that means "Soaring," FYI) flips between ethereal pads and aggressive drops so smoothly it's almost unfair. Even weirder cuts like “Penetration” keep things interesting—you know exactly what kind of vibe they were going for with THAT title. But here’s the kicker: listening to Air Jihad feels less like enjoying an album and more like surviving one. By the end, you’re left breathless, maybe a little confused, but definitely changed. It’s not polished or pretty—it’s chaotic, messy, and brutally honest. And honestly? That’s what makes it unforgettable. So yeah, go listen to Air Jihad. Just don’t say I didn’t warn ya. Oh, and one last thing—Cityline90 dropped this gem over a decade ago. Where tf are they now? Music needs ‘em back.
