Finnish band Depravity were part of the contemporary, C-tuned Death Metal scene of the time. They released two EPs, 1992's Remasquerade and 1993's Silence of the Centuries, both inessential and conventional stuff for fans only. The second EP was re-released in 2011 containing the rest of the band's discography, including their other demos.
Saw the band logo for Depravity on a t shirt and out of curiosity I just decided to go ahead and check out what this is, and I love it tbh, this is great.

Oh 0k, Elias Viljanen, he play´s in Sonata Artica, I suppouse that´s enought rewards for him
Oh for the power of Vainamoinen, the guitarist know how to do epic and expresive solos, I´m sure he did´t resibe the enought credits for that, but I hope at least he could now listen to this and realice he did a solid fucking good job here.

Where Funebre stopped, Depravity, Convulse, Wombbath and Purtenance went on to "preserve" the Finnish DM underground, as Sentenced and Amorphis were going mainstream ...

CLASSIC DEATH METAL ! UNDERRATED ! !
First, I got to know old Sentenced, Amorphis, Benediction, Bolt Thrower, Death, Obituary, Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, Carcass, Morbid Angel, Deicide, Hypocrisy, Paradise Lost, Gorefest, Grave, Amon Amarth...then, years later, after many more classic acquaintances from the U.S. and Netherworlds and Sweden, I got to know more of these classic Finnish death metal bands...Abhorrence, Adramelech, Convulse, Deathchain, Demigod, Demilich, Disgrace, Funebre, Mordicus, Putrid, Rippikoulu, Winterwolf...and now Depravity!!! This FUCKING RULES!!!
