Album Review: Django Par Les Autres by Django Reinhardt Alright, let’s talk about Django Par Les Autres. This jazz gem came out in 2020 and it’s like a little time capsule from France, courtesy of the legendary Django Reinhardt. Released under the label Jazz Collection - Nouvelle Série (yep, that’s a mouthful), this album feels like someone rummaged through Django’s vaults and pulled out some golden nuggets. Props to Franck Bergerot for compiling it and writing those liner notes—dude clearly knows his stuff. Oh, and the graphics? Shoutout to Jazz & Cie for making it look slick without being try-hard. So, what’s on here? Tracks like “Django,” “Manoir De Mes Rêves,” “Swing 39,” “Gin Gin,” and “Nuages.” It’s all classic Django vibes, but I’ll be honest, two tracks stuck with me more than the rest. First up, “Manoir De Mes Rêves.” Man, that tune is smooth as butter. The melody just floats around your brain like a lazy Sunday morning. You know how sometimes music can feel like it’s hugging you? That’s this track right here. It’s not trying too hard—it’s just effortlessly cool. Then there’s “Gin Gin.” Whoa, okay, this one hits different. It’s got this playful bounce to it, like Django decided to throw a party and everyone showed up ready to swing. The rhythm grabs you by the hand and doesn’t let go until the last note fades out. Every time I hear it, I picture some smoky Parisian club where people are dancing like nobody’s watching. It’s fun, flirty, and full of life. What makes this album stand out isn’t just the tunes themselves—it’s how they remind you why Django Reinhardt is still such a big deal. Even decades later, his guitar work feels fresh. Sure, some might call it old-school, but honestly? Old school never sounded so good. Here’s the thing: listening to this album made me realize something kinda random. We live in an age where everything’s gotta be loud, fast, and flashy. But albums like Django Par Les Autres prove that sometimes, simplicity wins. Like, maybe we don’t need all the bells and whistles to make magic happen. Maybe all we need is a guy with a guitar and a whole lot of soul. Anyway, if you’re into jazz—or even if you’re not—you should give this one a spin. Just don’t blame me if you end up humming “Gin Gin” for days.

Interesting fact about Album

Here’s something cool: The album *Django Par Les Autres* is a tribute to Django Reinhardt, the legendary jazz guitarist. Released in 2020 in France, it’s not your typical collection of his tracks. Instead, it’s a fresh take, compiled by Franck Bergerot, who also wrote the liner notes. The album features some of Reinhardt’s iconic tunes like *Nuages* and *Swing 39*, but with a twist—reimagined by other artists. It’s like hearing Django’s genius through someone else’s ears. Pretty neat, right?
