Album Review: Re Viled by Doom – A Crust-Punk Masterclass That Kicks You in the Teeth Alright, let’s get into Re Viled by Doom. This 2019 release is a raw, unfiltered punch to the gut that’ll leave you gasping for air—and loving every second of it. If you’re into crust punk or just need something heavy to blast while life feels like total chaos, this album has your back. Released via Chaos Control and Criminal Attack Records (shoutout to both UK and Brazil for teaming up on this beast), Re Viled delivers 40 tracks of relentless fury, frustration, and rebellion. Let’s break it down real quick. Tracks like “Nazi Die” hit hard—not just because of the aggressive riffs but also because its message hits home. It’s one of those songs where you find yourself screaming along even though you didn’t plan to. The energy doesn’t let up—it feels like they recorded it live with amps cranked to eleven and zero fucks given. Then there’s “Police Bastard,” which might as well be mandatory listening for anyone pissed off at authority figures. I mean, come on—that title alone says everything. Musically, it’s fast, chaotic, and kinda messy—but intentionally so. It’s not supposed to sound perfect; it’s supposed to feel REAL. And trust me, it does. What sticks out about Re Viled isn’t just how angry it sounds—it’s how smart it is too. Songs like “War Crimes” and “Fear Of The Future” dig deep into societal issues without sounding preachy. They’re more like rallying cries than lectures. Same goes for “Exploitation”—it’s got this driving rhythm that makes you wanna smash stuff while nodding along like, yeah, capitalism sucks. Now, here’s the thing: with 40 tracks, some people might think this album drags on. Honestly? Not really. Sure, a few songs blend together, but that’s kinda the point. This ain’t background music—it’s an experience. You don’t listen to Re Viled casually. You dive headfirst into it, let it consume you, and then crawl out hours later wondering what just happened. One random thought before wrapping this up: Does anyone else notice how many bands these days try to copy the whole "angry anarchist" vibe but fail miserably compared to legends like Doom? Like, seriously, it’s almost like they forgot that authenticity > polish any day of the week. So yeah, Re Viled isn’t gonna win any Grammys (not that Doom cares). But if you’re looking for pure, untamed rage wrapped in killer riffs, this album’s worth every minute. Just don’t play it around your neighbors unless you hate them. Or...do. Your call.

  • A joint co-operative release, with Chaos Control releasing with catalog number CC010 in the Eastern Hemisphere (Europe to Australia) and Criminal Attack Records to be releasing it with catalog number CAR041 n the Western Hemispshere (Americas). The Chaos Control release is a jewel case, with Criminal Attack releasing as Digipak.
