Review by Emily Woolf

The Infinite of Malediction to Darkness: A Gut-Punch of Black Metal Fury Alright, let’s get real for a second. If you’re into music that feels like it crawled out of the abyss just to scream at your soul, The Infinite of Malediction to Darkness by Infinite Black, Religion Malediction, and Lotus of Darkness is gonna hit hard. Released in 2012 under Hellhouse 666 Productions (yeah, that name says it all), this album doesn’t hold back—it grabs you by the throat and drags you through fire and shadows. It’s raw, ugly, beautiful, and completely unhinged. And honestly? That’s what makes it unforgettable. Now, I gotta say, two tracks stuck with me long after the last note faded. First up, “Funeral Storm” by Lotus of Darkness—man, this one hits different. The guitars sound like they’re being shredded alive, while the drums hammer away like some kind of possessed machine. But it’s not just noise; there’s this haunting melody lurking underneath, creeping into your brain like cold fingers down your spine. By the time those shrieked vocals kick in, you’re already drowning in it. There’s something about how chaotic yet hypnotic it feels—it’s like standing in the middle of a storm, watching everything fall apart but kinda loving it. Then there’s “Muslim Holocaust” by Religion Malediction. Look, I know the title alone might make people squirm, but hear me out. This track isn’t here to comfort anyone—it’s abrasive, relentless, and downright brutal. The riffs are jagged, cutting through the mix like broken glass, and the vocal delivery sounds like pure rage given form. It’s heavy as hell, both musically and emotionally, and yeah, maybe that’s why it sticks. Not because it’s easy listening, but because it forces you to feel something—even if it’s uncomfortable. This whole album reeks of black metal’s trademark nihilism, but it also has these weird moments where beauty sneaks in amidst the chaos. Like when you think you’ve had enough of the pounding blast beats and screeching vocals, something shifts—a melody emerges, or a riff twists in an unexpected way—and suddenly you’re hooked again. It’s messy, sure, but so is life, right? Reflection time: Listening to this record felt like staring into a mirror that only reflects the parts of yourself you try to ignore. You know, the dark corners we all have but don’t talk about over coffee. But hey, maybe that’s the point. Maybe albums like The Infinite of Malediction to Darkness exist to remind us that sometimes, the ugly stuff deserves attention too. Or maybe I’m just overthinking it because my ears are still ringing. Anyway, here’s the kicker: If you play this album backwards, legend has it you’ll hear Satan himself offering you a job. True story. Probably.
