Album Review: So4Real Dario Martino RMX by Joyce Yuille Alright, let’s talk about So4Real Dario Martino RMX by Joyce Yuille. Released in 2011 under Pret A Porter Music and Mix2inside Records, this Italian gem dives deep into the world of Electronic music, blending House, Nu-Disco, and Deep House vibes. If you’re into tracks that make you wanna move but also feel something, this one’s worth a listen. The album’s got four remixes of the same track, So4Real, each with its own twist. At first glance, it might seem like a lot of repetition, but trust me, every version brings something fresh to the table. I’ll break down two tracks that really stuck with me. First up is So4Real (Dario Ms_Soulful Vocal Rmx 2011). This one hits different. The vocals are smooth, almost like they’re floating over the beat, and the groove has this laid-back yet infectious energy. It’s the kind of track that sneaks up on you—before you know it, you’re nodding your head or tapping your feet. There’s a warmth to it, like sipping coffee on a chilly morning. You don’t even realize how much it’s getting to you until it’s over, and then you just wanna hit repeat. Then there’s So4Real (Dario Ms_Dub Instrumental Rmx 2011). This one’s a vibe for sure. No vocals here, just layers of sound that build and drop in all the right places. The bassline is deep enough to rattle your soul, and the synths have this dreamy, almost hypnotic quality. It’s perfect for those late-night drives when you’re lost in your thoughts but still need a beat to keep you grounded. Honestly, it’s the kind of track that makes you wish you were at some underground club in Italy, surrounded by strangers who somehow feel like friends. What’s cool about this album is how it plays with the same core idea but keeps reinventing itself. It’s not just remixing for the sake of it—it feels intentional, like each version tells a slightly different story. And yeah, it’s from 2011, but honestly? It doesn’t feel dated. Good House and Deep House never really go out of style. Here’s the thing—I wasn’t expecting to connect with this album as much as I did. I mean, it’s essentially one song remixed four ways, but somehow, it works. Maybe it’s because it’s not trying too hard to impress. It just lets the music do the talking. Final thought? Listening to this album made me wonder if Dario Martino ever thought his remixes would still be getting spins over a decade later. Probably not. But hey, that’s the magic of music, right? It sticks around when you least expect it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got So4Real (Dario Ms_Soulful Vocal Rmx) on repeat, and I’m not mad about it.

Joyce has also expanded into other areas of music such as House (dance) and her voice is featured on numerous singles, some of which reached the top European Dance charts. However, her smoother and earthier vocal talents are easily recognized in Jazz which is her primary genre of music and style. Still residing in Italy, Joyce continues to demonstrate her talents performing and participating in numerous Jazz & Blues festivals in Italy and around Europe, such as the Umbria Jazz Festival, Rapperswil Blues & Jazz Festival, Trasimeno Blues, Mantova Music Festival and many others. Not straying far from her Gospel roots, she has formed the group Gospel Times who have already proven their excellence during many performances in diverse music festivals. n
