Jealous Of A Cheerleader by Lady Godivah: A Raw, Unfiltered Blast from 2013 Alright, let’s get one thing straight—Lady Godivah’s Jealous Of A Cheerleader isn’t your cookie-cutter RnB/Swing album. Released in 2013 under Queen Of The West, this project hits hard like a punch to the gut, but with enough swingy vibes to make you wanna move. Produced, mixed, mastered, and basically birthed into existence by Daniel Duskin (whoever this guy is, he needs to stop being so damn good at everything), it’s got that raw edge hip-hop heads crave without skimping on melody. J. LBS handles drum programming, which honestly? Slaps harder than most stuff out today. Now, I’m not about to sit here and break down all 14 tracks because ain’t nobody got time for that. But lemme tell ya, two songs stuck with me like gum on a hot sidewalk: "Honey Kisses" and "Charge It To The Game." “Honey Kisses” kicks things off smooth as hell, riding this jazzy beat that feels like walking into an underground speakeasy where everyone knows your secrets. Lady Godivah lays her vocals down like silk sheets over brass stabs and snapping snares. She's talking sweet nothings, but there’s bite behind every word—like she could crush you if she wanted to. You feel me? This track stays stuck in your head longer than a bad breakup text. Then there’s “Charge It To The Game,” which flips the script entirely. Boom-bap drums meet these eerie keys, setting up shop right in the middle of paranoia city. Lady Godivah spits bars sharp enough to cut glass here, switching flows like she can’t decide whether she wants to seduce you or take your lunch money. Spoiler alert: she’ll probably do both. By the end, you’re left wondering what just hit you—but hey, isn’t that the point? The rest of the album keeps the energy high, dipping between bangers like “Flash On Em” and introspective joints like “Even Steven.” Tracks like “Apocalypse” throw curveballs too, blending dystopian themes with slick production that somehow works. And shoutout to whoever thought putting “Happy Day” next to “April Fools” was a good idea—it shouldn’t work, but it does. Like peanut butter and pickles… weird, but kinda genius. Here’s the kicker though: listening to this album feels like stepping back in time while also hearing something totally fresh. Lady Godivah doesn’t play by anyone else’s rules, and neither does Daniel Duskin. Together, they crafted something that refuses to be boxed in. So yeah, Jealous Of A Cheerleader might’ve dropped a decade ago, but it still bangs harder than half the playlists people are spinning now. If you haven’t heard it yet, fix that ASAP. Just don’t blame me when you can’t stop humming “Honey Kisses” during your morning commute. Oh, and random thought: whoever decided to name a track “Yum Yum” deserves a medal—or maybe therapy. Either way, respect.

Did you know? The album *Jealous Of A Cheerleader* by Lady Godivah is a hidden gem in the Hip Hop and RnB/Swing scene. Released in 2013, it’s got this cool, cohesive vibe because one person—Daniel Duskin—handled almost everything: producing, mixing, mastering, and recording.
