Leak Bros - Got Wet GOD: A Raw, Unfiltered Hip Hop Gem That Still Slaps Yo, let’s talk about Got Wet GOD by Leak Bros. This 2004 joint from the US underground is a gritty little monster that doesn’t waste time pretending to be something it ain’t. Released on Eastern Conference Records, this album feels like someone threw hip hop in a blender with some grit, spit, and soul. It's got dirt under its nails but still shines through like a diamond you find in the mud. First off, shoutout to Andrew Unknown for handling design and photography because this thing LOOKS as raw as it sounds. And yeah, big ups to J-Zone and Joey Raia for mixing—these dudes didn’t over-polish anything. They kept it grimy where it needed to stay grimy. You can tell everyone involved was locked into making something real instead of chasing radio play or trends. Now, let me hit you with two tracks that’ll stick in your skull after one listen: “G.O.D. (Dirty)” and “Got Wet? (Clean).” “G.O.D. (Dirty)” is straight fire. Camu Tao kills it here, spitting bars so sharp they could cut glass. The beat’s got this hypnotic groove, all dusty drums and basslines that feel like they crawled outta an old basement tape. What makes this track unforgettable? It’s unapologetically nasty. Not just lyrically, but sonically—it’s raw power bottled up in three minutes. Every word lands like a punch, and when those scratches come in? Forget about it. Your speakers better be ready for war. this album was the reason i got myself a bag of leak, this time a year ago. im sorry to say, cage and tame have clearly never had pcp in their lives. you dont think good enough on pcp to write and rap this well, and whereas all of what they say is possible, they fail to mention the main effect of it, its a powerful disassociative, the side effects are noticable after just a few days, and its very addictive. again, leak bros never touched it when they made this album, i guarantee it.
