Canaxis 5: A Sonic Time Capsule That Still Feels Weirdly Fresh Alright, let’s talk about Canaxis 5, the brainchild of Technical Space Composer's Crew (which is just a fancy way to say Holger Czukay and his pals). Released in 1969—yeah, the same year Apollo 11 landed on the moon—this album sounds like what might happen if aliens got their hands on an Earth radio station. It’s part rock, part folk, part ambient electronica, with dashes of classical thrown in for good measure. Oh, and did I mention it bounces between Japan, Germany, and Europe? Talk about a musical passport stamp collection. The genres are all over the place, but that’s kind of the charm here. Originally privately released in 1969 as Technical Space Composer's Crew and titled Canaxis 5. Later reissued as Canaxis by Holger Czukay & Rolf Dammers.
Tracks 1 and 2 recorded at Studio Für Elektronische Musik (Cologne) and at home in 1968.
Tracks 3 and 4 are bonus tracks from 1999 performed 'Magazine' multimedia project within Can Solo Projects live.
This issue comes in CD sized papersleeve album replica, with Obi-strip and two inserts of notes.
Limited release of 500 copies.

It was lightning's stroke procedure onto a 45 track recorder,engineered by the robots Ho and Ro.Their laboratory was a stationary space with an orbit outside of the planet KO ––– ,produced with a better equipment which was connected electronically with the Inner Space Production's Sound Space Team in a little village in Vietnam.
There you can find a secret computer center of all greater kinds of coloured lightnings.

The voices of the women singing on track A1 were taken from Various - Music Of Viet Nam (Folkways Records ‎– FE 4352, 1965), A side, track #7.
So track A1 should not be named Ho-Mai-Nhi (The Boat Woman Song) but Doh Dam Tara (Love Song). (Ho-Mai-Nhi is track B11 of Various - Music Of Viet Nam).
This song belongs to the traditions of the Cham people, based in southern Viet Nam and Cambodia.
