Comments
I have listened to a number of the old 78s on your channel and I want to compliment you on the excellent sound you get out of these old recordings!
1917
I like how concerned the pianist looks as two men with brass instruments stand inside his piano
Who's here during the COVID pandemic???
I like this, but like better hear the Collins and Harlan version
What a superb piece of music! Thank you for posting it. For those of us raised on the old Tom and Jerry cartoons, Warner Brothers and the like, especially, this will definitely bring back memories.
What instruments are in the song
I first heard this song when I was about 1032 when I was 6 years old. I learned the lyrics which I still remember yet.
What instruments are in the song
Nora Brockstedt a norwegian female singer who died in 2015 recorded jazz in age of 81 and in age of 85. She was and sang in the Norwegian TV in age of 89. Nora is one of biggest favorite singers of all times. She had a very very beautiful voice. How higtly I miss her.
My grandfather used to tell us the story of how my grandmother would sing this to my father and uncle when she fed them. When she stopped singing, they would yell, "Sing it 'adain,' Mommy," because they couldn't pronounce the G!
My Dad use to tap to this song. When ever I hear it I think of him.
I love the really early Jass numbers. If you compare them to the ragtime orchestra music that was around at the time, it must have sounded like an entirely new musical dimension to those hearing it for the first time.
